EAWA ("the app") is a smart menu recommender built on your personal recipe library, self-hosted by its owner and used by a single person. This policy explains how the app collects, stores and processes your data.
1.Data collection & storage
The app collects no data for any public purpose. All of your business data — recipes (including covers and step images), conversations, cooking plans and cooking records — is stored on your own self-hosted server and database:
- Photos live only in the self-hosted environment and never leave it;
- Recipe and preference data leaves your server only as text with LLM calls (see the next section);
- The app is single-user; your data is never shared with or shown to other users.
2.Third-party services
The only external service involved is an LLM (large language model) provider, called server-side by your own backend:
- Import extraction: only the web-page text needed to extract a recipe is sent to the LLM;
- Chat recommendations: only conversation text, your avoidance list, taste preferences and plain-text summaries of your recipe library are sent;
- Photos and full recipe attachments are never transmitted.
Beyond this, neither the app nor this website uses any third-party analytics, tracking or embedded scripts; the website loads no third-party scripts or fonts.
3.Account & data deletion
- The app does not offer self-service account deletion;
- In-app deletion (e.g. deleting a recipe) removes the item from your own server immediately;
- Account-level data deletion can be requested via the contact below and is handled manually by the maintainer.
